Wiebe founded WAUD and leads its creative and technical direction. He studied Product Design at HKU and completed a master’s degree in Industrial Design at TU/e, bringing together an interest in form, technology and how people use things.
At WAUD, he sets the direction and works with the team on the design decisions that shape a project. Each discipline contributes to the result, from the first sketches and tests to the work that leaves the studio.
Our designers and makers work across product design, electronics, software and fabrication. Team members take ownership of their part of a project, developing, testing and making the work together.
We put together the skills each assignment needs and bring in specialist collaborators where they add to the team. In the workshop, ideas move between people, prototypes and materials until the parts work together.
